Blackjack Rules
It's really easy to learn how to play blackjack; you only need to know some basic rules and you can already start playing. It's one of the oldest and most played games in land-based as well as online casinos. When you're playing Blackjack, your only opponent is the dealer; the other players are of no importance to you.
Most important rule: beat the dealer by having a higher number of cards in your hand than he has, without surpassing 21.
Card Values:
Jack, Queen, King = 10 points
Ace = 1 point or 11 points
All the other cards = represent the points on the cards
A Blackjack game starts when the dealer gives you a card face up, called an open card and he gives himself a card faced down, a so-called hole card. Then, he deals you another open card and if there are more players participating in the game, cards are dealt from the left to the right of the dealer. This is the first round. After this round of dealing cards, you'll have to make a decision: you want to hold and don't take anymore cards or you want a hit, and be dealt another card. Up until you decide to take no more cards, this will be repeated.
Now, the dealer shows you his cards. If the cards in your hand, surpass 21, you lose. If the dealer's cards surpass 21, he loses. When it's a tie, nobody wins or loses. If your card-total is higher than the card-total of the dealer, you win the game. If the dealer has a card-total higher than yours, you'll lose and he wins.
