Blackjack Surrender Rules

A popular variant of the casino online game Blackjack is Blackjack Surrender. This is a single deck game, with an extra option next to the regular Blackjack rules; you have the option of premature retreat from the game, better known as Surrender.

When you surrender, you have the choice to fold your hand at the cost of half of the original bet. You'll have to make this decision before taking any other action on the hand. For example, after you requested a third card, a double down or a split, you can no longer surrender.

There are two different ways to surrender, late and early. The only difference between the two is they way the dealer's hand is played. The most common variant is late surrender, where the dealer checks for his blackjack first, and only when he doesn't have a blackjack, he'll allow the other players to surrender their hands. In an early surrender game, you can choose to surrender before the dealer checks his cards for blackjack. This offers a great advantage for the player. All the other rules are the same as in a regular Blackjack game.

You need to use the option to surrender wisely and not surrender too many hands, just because you have the possibility to do so. The best strategy for Blackjack Surrender is to surrender your hand when you have 15 in your hand, against a 10 or the dealer.
