Craps Rules

So you want to play Craps at MGC? You've made the right decision. Craps is a fun game, and it's rather simple to learn. All the players around the table get to roll the dice. The player's turn rotates in a clockwise order around the craps table. If you don't want to roll the dice, you can bet on the shooter (the player whose turn it is to roll the dice) instead.

Craps always start with a special Come Out roll. This term is always used to indicate the first roll of the dice in a betting round. This roll can solely take place after a player didn't succeed in making a winning roll and a new game begins, when the next player throws the dice. If this player has a successful roll, he or she can roll again and a new round of betting begins. Whenever the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, he or she wins the betting round, and ends the round. If the shooter rolls craps (2, 3 or 12), he or she loses. This will end the betting round. If one of the shooters throws any other number than 2, 3,7,11 or 12, it means they will make a point.

The main goal of the come out roll is to make a point. This point will be marked on the table of craps. From this moment on, if you to win, you'll have to roll the number that is marked as a point, before rolling a seven (called an Out 7). If you can pull this off, then you, and everyone who betted on you, marks the end of the betting round. Only if you through an Out 7 or a point, the betting round will go on.
